Dr. Sadayuki Ito is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. He obtained his Ph.D. from Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, where he conducted basic research on spinal cord injury. Currently, he is actively involved in both clinical practice and translational research in spinal disorders. His main research interests include the pathogenesis and treatment of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL), and the application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging for spinal diseases. He has also been collaborating with industry partners on developing and evaluating online rehabilitation and telemedicine systems for low back pain. Dr. Ito has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the fields of spinal surgery and musculoskeletal science. With his dual focus on clinical excellence and innovative research, he contributes to bridging the gap between clinical practice and emerging technologies in spine care.
