Dr. Rioult has been involved in the development of technologies and technology-based companies, and in technology acquisition and commercialization for twenty years after having left academic research. Her experience, mainly in life and medical sciences, covers also consumer products, optics, software, and others. She is currently Director of Global Intellectual Property for the 3-D Matrix Group, a public Japanese medical device company, after having retired from the Managing Director role of the US and European subsidiaries for over seven years and having created the European subsidiary. Before joining 3-D Matrix, Dr. Rioult worked as a Technology Licensing Officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she managed and accompanied a large portfolio of faculty and their inventions and helped create several startups. Before joining MIT, Dr. Rioult worked for two boutique consulting firms engaged in patent and technology transactions for clients ranging from global Fortune 500 to startups, and for a life science software development company. Prior to entering the corporate world, she worked as a neuroscientist at Brown and Yale University, and at the ETH in Zurich. Dr. Rioult has published and lectured internationally on business and science topics and has consulted for small and large organizations for over twenty years. She serves currently on the board of directors or scientific advisors of two startups, OH2 Laboratories LLC and 511 Therapeutics, Inc.
