Dr. Mouad Lamrani is a distinguished professional with a remarkable career in research and development. He currently serves as Director of the R&D Innovation Center at Menicon Co., Ltd. in Geneva, Switzerland, which he established in 2015. From 2010 to 2015, he held the positions of Dean and General Manager at ISMANS, a prestigious French Ivy League School of Engineering in Le Mans, France.
In 2013, Dr. Lamrani, together with Dr. Shuguang Zhang, organized the First International Congress of Peptides & Proteins in Le Mans, France. Prior to his current role, he was the Director and General Manager of Menicon Global R&D since 2005, where he became the first non-Japanese researcher to join Menicon Co. Ltd, Japan. He successfully set up three branches of Menicon R&D in Strasbourg and Lyon, France, as well as Singapore, establishing a robust global research network.
His expertise lies in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Bioelectronics, Biomaterials, Point of Care Diagnostics, Oculomics and Surface Coating for health applications. He coined the term and concept of Theranocloud. Dr. Lamrani’s achievements have earned him prestigious awards, including the EU award of “Human Capital Mobility” leading to a research position at Instituto de Sciencia y Materials Autonoma de Barcelona. He also served as an assistant professor at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Taejon.
